I made a mess of my hearing aids while trying to clean them. I Walked into True North Hearing, told them my story, and 15 minutes later I was walking out with working hearing aids. I felt completely confident in their ability to correctly diagnose the problem and perform the necessary fix. Quick, friendly, and inexpensive and very professional.

For the first 21 years of my life, I was told I could never use any type of hearing aid or device to assist with my single-sided deafness. I actually found this location unintentionally to get a hearing test after I had a long lasting ear infection. As soon as I connected with April & Josh, I felt immediately at ease. April worked with me to do anything she could to help me & ended up setting me up with a hearing aid & transmitter to help me hear! I cannot say enough wonderful things about True North Hearing- as a customer here, I felt completely listened to, understood, and cared for! They made me feel comfortable, April listened to me and my needs, been places where they put you in a sound proof boxs and that was it. She tried to mimic back ground sounds while sitting in her office while we would carry on a conversation, fitted me there on the spot, She did not try to push you into something you did not need. Left there feeling I was part of the Family. I would highly recommend them.

I just moved to the area in December 2020 and was having issues with my Insignia Hearing Aids that I purchased in NY. Seacoast Hearing got me in right away, looked up my warranty and got my Hearing Aids replaced and reprogrammed in less than a week. They are friendly and knowledgeable and I will continue going to them for my hearing needs.

He is knowledgeable of the products and technology, and is personally familiar with the real-world challenges those with hearing loss face in different environments. So he was able to identify the best option and tailor it to my type of hearing loss and what I was looking for. Throughout the trial period, Randy was helpful in resolving minor issues and teaching me how to best navigate the functionality of my new hearing aids. The combination of outstanding technology, professional and Personal service far exceeded my expectations. It has been an unexpected positive experience. April was a positive surprise in both her professional and personal correction of my hearing devices that had been taken u201coff courseu201d by several technicians in Florida this Winter. She went back to baseline zero with a new hearing test and adjusted the settings. Not perfect, but dramatically improved. Have confidence in getting there.

Outstanding service and very friendly people. I neede my hearing aids sent back to the manufacture for repair - twice. Each time the process was quick and service was efficient!!! The second time I was given LOANER hearing aids to use until my aids were returned to me. Went to have aid checked, it wasn't working right, oops, took Randy 10 minutes to correct, and working fine now. thank you for doing it, I am happy with the results, and shouldn't have waited so long! I have been with Seacoast hearing since June, 2001 when I retired and my aid broke; Not knowing me, they set me up with something to get me over the weekend until they could do a checkup and fit me to one of my own. I always thought that was over and above.

Randy is the best. He is very knowledgeable a true specialist!!! I can't say enough about him. He doesn't make you feel rushed. He spends quality time with you, to make sure your hearing is at a comfortable level for you. Also his office manager Raye is a people person, always so helpful and ready to help with any problem you may have. They work well together, a great team!!! Randy helped my husband find hearing aids that are easy for him to use. He lost his hearing aids when removing his covid mask protection so Randy helped my husband find hearing aids that will not be lost that way. Today I took my 92 year old Father-in-Law to Seacoast Hearing Center in Portsmouth. In the past we would visit the VA in Boston to get his hearing aids fixed or adjusted, but recently it is been increasingly harder to get appointments. Sometimes they would ask us to mail them in and that could take weeks before they would come back to us. Luckily for us, we were able to get an afternoon appointment today with Randall, the Hearing Instrument Specialist and he was extremely accommodating. He was able to adjust and clean his new set of hearing aids and clean and change the filters in his old set. My Father-in-Law was happy when he left there and couldn't stop talking about his visit when he came home. Thank you again. I am 100% certain we will be coming back to Seacoast Hearing Center in the future.

Great experience! Friendly, informative and professional staff. Randall inspected and replaced the wax filter and ear domes of my current hearing aids at no charge. He asked if I had any hearing concerns or comments and fine tuned my hearing aids accordingly. He also informed me of the newest developments in hearing aid technology without pressuring me to buy. I highly recommend this office to people who have a hearing problem and want to do something about it.

Randy is terrific. He is knowledgeable, caring and patient. He re-tuned my hearing aids that I have been wearing for two years. Frankly, the sound was dull and I wasn't using them everyday. Randy opened the programing for my hearing aids on his computer and re-adjusted them for increased clarity and reduced background noise. And, he showed me how I could change programs for the hearing aids on my iPhone and maximize the settings depending on conditions. (When I bought the hearing aids, the vendor/technicians never showed me how to do that). Randy spent a long time with me making sure everything was right. And, yes, I can hear the improvements now listening to music and talking with friends on FaceTime. Thanks, Randy. You really made a difference in my daily life.

I love this place so much because it makes life easier

What sets Steve Little apart from other audiologists I have had is his sincere concern for his patients. He is not in this business just for the money; he really cares about improving the quality of patients' hearing, well aware that this improves the quality of our entire lives. Two dramatic examples of Steve's dedication to his patients from my own experience: 1.) In late 2013, I had to be in Canada over the weekend for a vitally important event--when my hearing aids from another audiologist quit working the night before I had to leave--and his office was unreachable. It was an emergency. In desperation, I called Steve, who had been recommended to me by a friend. I was not even his patient, but he told me to come right in, loaned me a great pair of hearing aids, and saved the day! 2.) He recently rescued me again. (I was of course his patient after the 2013 experience.) My husband was very ill last winter, and I was caring for him at home. I couldn't leave him alone to get my hearing aid repaired. Amazingly, Steve offered to come to our house to do the repair! He came and fixed it while my husband napped. It was such a blessing at a difficult time. I know there are other capable audiologists in Portsmouth, but if you want a good one who will be there for you when you really need one--and fast--I recommend that you call Steve Little. He takes care of you himself with no intermediaries or helpers, except for his delightful receptionist, Ray, who actually answers the phone (!), in contrast to the provider's machine we commonly reach. If Ray is on another line, you won't have to wait long before she calls you back--just one more example of putting the patient's convenience first at Seacoast Hearing Center in Portsmouth, NH. They were great with helping me select the best hearing aids and explaining all the new technical features. You can tell that they really care about their customers.
