Respectful, timely, thorough, patient, very helpful/explaining.

I've been wearing aids for almost 30 years. Got my first set through Boston Eye and Ear at Braintree rehab hospital. They closed that facility and they recommended I start doing business with a recommended audiologist. I was their patient for ~15 years. I have really struggled with my hearing this past year. That audiologist recommended I spend $7500 on new aids. I visted another audiologist a d they recommended aids for $4500. Then I went to True North and for the first time ever I had my aids serviced properly and I can hear again. Fabulous I can actually have conversations again without having to ask people to repeat themselves several times. A miraculous experience. Great company!!

Dan Carusi performed my hearing test and cleaned my hearing aids. He explained things in an easy to understand manner and answered all my questions. I would definitely see him again and would recommend his services.

I had a very nice experience and learned a great deal about hearing loss and options for management. In my case, I did not need a hearing aid, but I would feel comfortable returning there for testing in the future. I would definitely recommend True North for anyone who is concerned about their hearing (or whose spouse is concerned).

Recently purchased hearing aids in Florida and returned back up North. I had a problem with one of the devices and called True North, and spoke with Jen. She advised me to come over as soon as possible and could not have been nicer. Jen was friendly, knowledgable and resolved my problem in a very professional manner. I highly recommend True North to anyone in search of hearing aid services.

Enhanced auditory( now renamed True North) has been my auditory service of choice for several years. Being 71( but fully mobile and active) I have had a few ear related issues, such that I makes point of getting an annual hearing test from a competent provider. Since my long term ENT ( a renowned expert) retired a few years, I was in a bit of a quandary finding the quality of audiology services his office provided. I was underwhelmed by several others, prior to getting an exam several years ago at True North( newton office) As I do have occasional menieres disease attacks snd some other idiosyncratic hearing issues and as I am currently doing a lot of fairly complex music composing and production work, understanding the quality/ limits/etc of my current and ongoing hearing status is of obvious importance to me. In summary, I have found their newton offices to be run in a very supportive, personal and clinical calls fully professional manner. I have every intention of continuing to do so going forward. Just today, I had my wife get her first hearing test ever. Again, an excellent experience. In addition, they have updated their audiology testing room , a major update. So, 5 stars for True North/enhanced auditory. Dr. Steven Kaufman

Although I no longer live in Newton I am still coming to EAR. The professional and the support personnel combine knowledge of the field with offering personal attention The hours were too limited during the height of Covid, but are now more available

Very helpful; pleasant staff; my hearing was markedly improved after my visit.

I needed to have service on one of my hearing aids. I walked in the office and they fixed the problem in less than 10 minutes. I cant say enough about the great service and people who work here. Every experience has been a very positive one.

I rely heavily on reviews myself. Based on the reviews for this provider, I chose them. My experience was entirely consistent with the others. This is an outstanding company. I would highly recommend them. I will certainly use them in the future. I had brought my mother in to see if her Starkey hearing aids which she had purchased elsewhere could be altered and fixed. Joe made a significant difference. The hearing aids fit my mother very well now. On another note, the patient coordinator who I believe is named Jenny, is wonderful. I look forward to a long-term relationship with this company.

I'm very disappointed in the quality of the product. I've had to send the aids back twice already, and the "loaner pair" I've been given are even worse than my faulty hearing aids. They try hard, but the product, and its software, are poor.

This company and particularly the Newton, Mass branch is a model of outstanding customer service. They, particularly the team of Dr. Mirandra and Rachelle, are proactive and extremely responsive to problems and requests for information or help. If there were a rating higher than five stars, I'd give it to the Newton branch. Kevin Ryan

I accompanied my mom to the visit. We both had a wonderful experience. The front desk person was very courteous and helpful. The Audiologist, could not have been more patient and helpful. She spent so much time with my mom checking her hearing and adjusting her hearing device that I even had a thought that loosing hearing could be sometimes not so painful experience. My mom will be able to enjoy listening to music again. I would recommend Newton office to anyone.

While helping my mom get hearing aids, I met with a number of hearing aid companies. We finally chose Enhanced Auditory Resources because their staff were the most skilled in getting hearing aids that worked well for my mom, and they offered the best terms as well. Recently, mom's hearing aids stopped working and Enhanced Auditory fixed them free under my mom's insurance, while other hearing aid companies charge a co-fee. I also feel that Enhanced Auditory specialists are more sincere about actually helping clients than are other companies I met.

I have worked with Enhanced Auditory Resources for many years. They have always had top notch audiologists on staff and Dr Miranda Flanagan more than meets that description. She brings a balance of medical understanding of hearing loss along with strong technical knowledge and expertise about current technology. But the best thing about EAR and Dr, Flanagan is their ability to partner with you as you adjust to the new normal of needing new hearing aids or trying to find the best fit as you experience continuing erosion of your hearing. Miranda has been with me each step of the way as I get accustomed to my new aids. No question is unanswered and the overall supportive office environment helps as well.

Jenn was a lifesaver when my mom's hearing aid stopped working! She's not only caring, she really knows her stuff. In minutes, she had cleaned my mom's hearing aid and gave me 2 packs of wax traps and domes and taught me how to fix them in the future. No cost for any of this! Jenn at Enhanced Auditory is a pleasure, plus no appt needed and easy parking!

Outstanding customer service and very friendly staff. My mother-in-law recently moved to the area from CT and her hearing aids weren't working. My wife and I were unfamiliar with how they worked. We found EAR on the Starkey website as Preferred Professional and scheduled a visit. So glad we did as the staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. They cleaned the units, put in new batteries, and tested them. Dr Flanagan then took time to explain all aspects on use and care. Absolutely five star service !

I have had hearing aids from five companies and four audiologists. EAR has been the best for service and the Starkey product has been the best. their free batteries and unlimited office visits, as well as the water resistant product with replaceable filters over the microphones sold be. I originally went to Enhanced Auditory Resources in Newton in 2009. Since that time, I have had 2 sets of hearing aides. I have spoken to Jen many times on the phone as well as in the office. She has always been extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and professional. She returns calls promptly and answers questions thoroughly.

I am a novice at wearing hearing aids. Dr. Flannagan was very methodical, thorough, and helpful. I was impressed with the equipment which could measure the sound I was hearing while she set the hearing aids. These hearing aids automatically adjust to the sound level... She carefully choses the right size tip . I was immediately able to wear the aids.

I have had such a wonderful experience both times that I have been there. The front desk person was so courteous and helpful and solved my problems without having to go to the audiologist. The one time I went to the audiologist, se could not have been more patient and helpful. She spent so much time with me to tweak the hearing range that I wanted in my hearing aids. Because of a family history of hearing loss, I knew it was inevitable that I would need hearing aids sooner or later, but put it off because of the negative image I had of hearing aid wearers and what I had heard about them. My good wife finally convinced me that I had to do something! So, I sought a place nearby, figuring the auditory offices must all be similar. But what a surprise to find professionalism, excellent service, and kindness.The prescribed hearing aids have helped beyond my expectations. Dr. Alissa Hench and Dr. Bozeman before her, make the exam comfortable and explain results in understandable language; Jennifer Sherrod, the patient care coordinator, helps to make the experience comfortable and helps with supplies and follow-ups, assures that instructions are understood, and creates a pleasant environment. I would recommend EAR to all who might benefit.

2 ***** That's five stars squared! No-one wants to be told that they need hearing aids,but the professionalism of everyone in the practice made for a very gentle landing. After a long period of my wife encouraging me to have a hearing test, I finally had it done. Then EAR fit my schedule and fitted me with two wonderful devices. As I am typing this, I am able to hear the clicks of the keyboard that I had never noticed before. I can hear activity in the downstairs kitchen while I am in the den. I'm able to lower the volume of the sports babble on the radio to a point where it is not disturbing the family- kind of like a private broadcast. Yesterday, while driving, I heard an approaching ambulance before my wife did. She didn't get to say, "can you hear that ambulance?" I can not imagine a better place to go for hearing help than Enhanced Auditory Resources. Five stars squared!

ear in newton is very easy to book appointments and appointments have always been on time. joe the audiologist is more than capable and is/was able to achieve solutions to every issue that i have presented. the most difficult part of my recent ear appointment was dealing with some snowy icy roads on my trip back home.

I have purchased hearing aids twice from this firm during the past 11 years.They have had several audiologists but I was happy with each one I dealt with - The most recent, Miranda, is really great.

Both Jennifer Sherrod, the patient care coordinator, and Dr. Alissa Hench, the audiologist are true representatives of what patient care and excellence are all about. Anyone in the medical field should ascribe to the values and customer service that both of these professionals exhibit. Between the personal greeting and comfort given upon arrival and departure to the in depth analysis, interpretation, and instructions given as a result of the examination, this by far was the most remarkable patient/office/doctor experience. 5 stars +

What a service! Jenn was so-so helpful. We were visiting Needham-Newton area when my Dad's hearing aid stopped functioning and expecting to look for a replacement. So we looked up Enhanced Auditory Resources as it had the best reviews. As we walked thru the front door Jenn was so welcoming. She looked at my father's hearing aid took it down the back and returned it fixed within 10 minutes. Gave us tips how to maintain the hearing aid and to make the batteries last longer. She didn't want to charge us for the service even though we tried to insist. Just wonderful service and welcoming atmosphere, something we did not expect. Thanks Jenn.

I have taken my dad, in his 90s, to Enhanced Auditory Resources for 4 years and they have always been extremely helpful. First, it was Alyssa and Jenn, now it's Miranda and Rachel.
