Shannon O’Rourke, Au.D., CCC-A

Shannon O’Rourke, Au.D., CCC-A is a recent addition to the True North team. Shannon’s journey in audiology began with her undergraduate studies at the University of Connecticut, where she graduated in 2013 with a major in speech, language, and hearing science and psychology. She furthered her education by obtaining a Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) from the same institution.

During her audiology externship at the Yale Hearing and Balance Center within the Yale Medicine Department of Otolaryngology, Shannon gained valuable experience in diagnostic testing of hearing and balance, as well as with cochlear implants, bone conduction implants, and hearing aids. Following this, she spent two years working at Cape Cod Hearing Center in Hyannis, MA.

Shannon is a member of the American Academy of Audiology and holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech and Hearing Association.

Her passion lies in witnessing the transformative impact of her work, as she helps patients enhance their communication with friends and family, enabling them to engage fully in their favorite activities. Beyond her professional life, Shannon enjoys knitting, reading, biking, running, and spending quality time with her beloved dog.
